What Inspires Us to Build Better

Renu didn’t begin in a lab or a boardroom—it started with a simple idea: build something that lasts.

What Inspires Us to Build Better

Renu didn’t start in a boardroom—it started in a journal.

Our founder, Bill Bachand, didn’t set out to build just another cold tub. He wanted to build something he could hand down to his kids. A product that didn’t cut corners. That didn’t glitch out or fall apart or look like a DIY project.

He wanted it to feel right in your space. To be effortless to use. And most importantly, to be reliable—because real recovery requires consistency.

In this short video, Bill shares the story behind Renu—from the first cold plunge that changed everything, to the sketchbook drawings that eventually became our flagship tanks.

It’s a window into why we do what we do, and how staying rooted in purpose has helped us keep building better.

Cold showers are a legitimate entry point. Cold plunges are the tool for measurable, repeatable results.

Contrast Therapy at Home: Designing a Wellness Backyard in Ten Feet

A home contrast therapy setup needs a sauna or hot tub and a cold plunge in close proximity, ideally a few steps apart. Designer-builder Dagan Koffler fit all three into a ten-foot side yard. The decisions that matter most are proximity to the house, somewhere to sit between rounds, and finishes that match your space.
