I've had my Cold Stoic Classic a little over 2 months now. As far as logistics, the delivery was well communicated and went smoothly. To move the unit from the pallet to the house, I hired a moving company and the guys literally walked the unit from the garage to the basement. So far, so good. In setup, I ran into a problem with one of the valves, but the technical staff helped me easily straighten that out and, in no time, I was set to go.
I immediately knew I loved it from the appearance side (I got the blue color with the redwood deck) but was still very concerned about actually using it. You see, I HATE getting in cold water and if I couldn't be consistent with cold showers, what made me think I'd do better with this unit? Well, from the first plunge, I immediately knew this was different. The breath deck is amazing! I have done plunges at a spa facility where you just get in a tub, but being able to breathe and center myself on the deck was a game-changer (as other reviewers have said). Also, I didn't have to force myself to stay in a certain amount of time to get the "full experience" of a plunge like at the spa - I had the freedom to tailor the experience to how I was feeling for that particular plunge and the ability to use it whenever I wanted.
What I've learned is I still dislike (but not hate) getting in cold water, but I know I can do it and after the initial shock, I actually relax. I don't think I'll ever say to myself, "I can't wait to get in the…
